EBS CIJ shaft encoder
Keeps the print sharp when the line speeds up or slows down.
Measures conveyor speed and synchronises the printer with it, so characters keep the same width at any speed.
Without an encoder the printer assumes a fixed line speed; if the conveyor runs faster the code stretches, if it runs slower it squeezes. The shaft encoder feeds the real speed to the printer so the resolution stays constant.
With the matching software option it also copes with a conveyor that briefly runs backwards.
It mounts either on a shaft of the conveyor or on the belt itself, using couplings, wheels of different diameters or a pressure arm. We supply the mounting parts your line needs.
