Inks and fluids for fourteen printer brands

The consumables catalogue now covers inks, make-up and cleaning fluids for the coding printers most common on lines in the region — including brands we do not sell machines for.

A coding printer stops for one of two reasons: a worn part, or the wrong fluid in it. The second is the easier one to prevent, so the inks and fluids section of the catalogue now covers fourteen printer brands — including printers we did not sell you.

Why fourteen brands

Production lines are rarely built from one catalogue. A plant that runs our coders often has an older printer from another maker on a second line, and the fluid for it is ordered from whoever answers fastest. That order is usually urgent: a line is already stopped.

So the range covers the printer families most common in the region, whichever brand is on the case, with the ink, make-up and cleaning fluid specified per printer family rather than as one generic bottle.

What to give us when you ask

The fluid depends on the printer and on what you mark, so two things get us to the right item:

  • the printer family and model on the machine plate
  • the material you print on, and whether the code has to survive washing, freezing, oil or outdoor exposure

Colour and volume follow from there. If you are unsure which fluid your printer currently runs, send us a photo of the label on the bottle in it.

Not a substitute for the right printer

A fluid can only do so much. If a code smears on film or fades on a freezer-bound carton, the answer is sometimes a different ink and sometimes a different printer — we will say which, and we have no reason to sell you the wrong one of the two.

The fastest route is the quote form, with the printer model and the material in the message.
