Zebra ZD621

The ZD621 is the 4-inch printer in Zebra's premium ZD600 range, sharing the ZD611's 8 in./s (203 mm/s) print speed, media dancer for consistent thermal-transfer quality, and standard Ethernet. Unlike the ZD611, Serial RS-232 is standard here rather than a field option. A 4.3-inch colour touch display is standard on the healthcare builds; the plain ZD621d and ZD621t do not include it standard.

Maximum print width is 108 mm over the same 991 mm maximum label length as the rest of the ZD400/ZD600 range. Media runs 15-108 mm wide (direct thermal) or up to 118 mm (thermal transfer) on rolls up to 127 mm OD; ribbon runs 33.8-109.2 mm wide, up to 300 m to a roll. Memory is 512 MB Flash and 256 MB SDRAM. A dual-radio 802.11ax/Bluetooth 5.3 or 802.11ac/Bluetooth 4.2 wireless kit is factory- or field-installable.

The ZD621R adds UHF RFID (EPC Gen 2 V2.1, RAIN RFID) through Zebra's RE40 reader/encoder. The ZD621 Linerless is direct-thermal only, for Zebra ZeroLiner labels. Healthcare builds (ZD621d-HC, ZD621t-HC) add the white colour scheme, IEC 60601-1 power supply and disinfectant-ready plastics standard across Zebra's -HC range — and the healthcare direct-thermal build is the only ZD621 configuration that can take an optional locking media cabinet. A carrying case and an enclosed, cord-free power supply are both ZD621-exclusive accessories, not offered on the ZD611.
