Zebra ZT411

The ZT411 is the 4-inch model in Zebra's ZT400 range, a step up from the ZT111/ZT231 in resolution headroom — up to 600 dpi, ZT411-exclusive — and memory (512 MB flash against their 256 MB). The same bi-fold door and tool-free printhead and platen removal carry over, on a heavier, taller chassis built for higher-throughput lines.

Print speed reaches 14 ips (356 mm/s), over a 104 mm maximum print width and up to 3988 mm of continuous print length at 203 dpi. Media runs 25.4-114 mm wide (25.4-108 mm in peel/rewind mode) on rolls up to 203 mm OD on a 76 mm core; ribbon runs 51-110 mm wide, 450 m to a roll. Standard connectivity is USB 2.0 (high-speed), RS-232 Serial, 10/100 Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.1 and dual USB Host, with two open card slots for a second Ethernet port, Parallel, an 802.11ax/Bluetooth 5.3 or 802.11ac/Bluetooth 4.2 wireless card, or an Applicator Interface.

That Applicator Interface is also available pre-packaged: Zebra's field-installable Automation kit bundles an extended peel mechanism, a captured media spindle and the applicator interface card, turning the ZT411 into the print engine for an automatic print-and-apply system rather than a stand-alone label printer.

UHF RFID (EPC Gen 2 V2.1, ISO/IEC 18000-63, RAIN RFID) is available factory- or field-installed, printing and encoding tags down to a 16 mm pitch; a dedicated on-metal RFID kit — field-upgradeable, up to 300 dpi — handles labels such as Silverline on IT assets, tools and returnable containers. A factory-installed ZeroLiner linerless configuration (direct thermal only) cuts backing-liner waste and fits up to 50% more labels per roll, or an existing ZT411 can take a field-installable linerless upgrade kit instead, and switch back to thermal transfer later if needed.
