The FS80 is the fixed scanner for reading across a wide area and at distance — scan tunnels, dock doors, forklift-mounted reads — where the code may be anywhere in a large field of view.

High-resolution sensors do half of that; the multi-feature integrated LED lighting does the other half, because at range and across a wide area the limiting factor is usually light rather than pixels.
