Zebra 220Xi4

The 220Xi4 is Zebra's widest industrial printer, built for labels up to 8.5 in./216 mm — chemical drum labeling and other oversized applications beyond the 168 mm the ZT620 tops out at. Zebra's own guidance steers narrower, higher-volume jobs toward the ZT610 or ZT620 instead; the 220Xi4 exists specifically for the width they can't reach.

Print speed reaches 10 in./s (254 mm/s) at 203 dpi or 6 in./s (152 mm/s) at 300 dpi, over that 216 mm maximum print width. Media runs 108-224 mm wide on rolls up to 203 mm OD on a 76 mm or 40 mm core; ribbon runs 108-220 mm wide, in 450 m or 300 m standard lengths. The all-metal enclosure and thin-film E3 printhead carry over from the rest of Zebra's industrial range, with a multilingual, back-lit LCD front panel rather than a touchscreen.

An Applicator Interface is available as a factory option, providing status and control signals to applicators and remote-control devices — the same print-and-apply role as the ZT411's Automation kit, on an older interface rather than a bundled upgrade kit. Firmware is ZPL/ZPL II with optional ZBI 2.0, and the printer runs on Zebra's older ZebraLink software suite (Zebra Setup Utilities, ZebraDesigner, ZebraNet Bridge Enterprise) rather than the Zebra DNA stack on the ZT400/ZT600 lines.
