Legacy
Request a quoteThe GX420d is an earlier-generation Zebra desktop printer, direct thermal only at 203 dpi, from before the ZD-series' status-icon interface — operation runs through a single ZPL-style feed button rather than a display. It's Pending End of Sale, with the ZD-series (ZD410 and its successors) as Zebra's current replacement line.
Programmable print speed runs 51-152 mm/s (2-6 ips) at 203 dpi, over a 104 mm maximum print width and up to 991 mm of label length. Media runs 19-108 mm wide on rolls up to 127 mm OD, on a 12.7 or 25.4 mm core. Standard memory is 8 MB SDRAM and 4 MB Flash, expandable with an optional 64 MB Flash-with-real-time-clock kit. Communication is Serial, USB v1.1 and Centronics Parallel as standard, with 10/100 Ethernet or an 802.11b/g/Bluetooth 2.0 wireless kit as options (each replacing the Parallel port). Power draw is rated at 100 W.
Firmware is ZPL/ZPL II and EPL/EPL2 with EPL Line Mode support, plus ZBI 2.0 as a field-activated option via a license key rather than a standard feature.
