Zebra ZD620

The ZD620 is the printer the ZD621 replaced, and was Zebra's first desktop printer to bring a media dancer — previously an industrial-printer feature — down to the desktop class, keeping even tension on the ribbon for consistent print quality regardless of speed. Unlike the ZD420 generation, Ethernet and Serial are standard here rather than field-installable options.

Print speed reaches 8 in./s (203 mm/s) at 203 dpi, ahead of the ZD420's 6, over a 108 mm maximum print width and up to 991 mm of label length. Media runs 15-118 mm wide on rolls up to 127 mm OD; ribbon runs 33.8-109.2 mm wide, up to 300 m to a roll — the high-capacity 300 m ribbon cuts ribbon changes by roughly 75% over the standard 74 m roll. Memory is 512 MB Flash and 256 MB SDRAM. An optional 10-button colour LCD (320×240) replaces the standard 5-icon, 3-button interface for on-printer configuration.
