Pneumatic print & apply: the ILX V prints, the APX V tamps, blows or rolls the label onto the product — from above, below or the side.
The APX V applicator mounts directly on the ILX V print engine. A vacuum pad picks up the freshly printed label and transfers it by tamp, blow-on or roll-on, with sensors monitoring every cycle. Three stroke lengths (200, 300, 400) and right- or left-hand versions fit it to the line.
The APX V is the pneumatic applicator for the ILX V print engine. The label is printed in real time, taken up by the pad under vacuum and placed on the product; the whole cycle is monitored and controlled by sensors. Because labelling position is largely free, the system labels from above, from below or from the side and fits into practically any production line.
Three transfer methods cover different product flows. Tamp-on presses the label onto a stationary product and copes with varying product heights. Blow-on sets the label with an air jet, without touching the product, on stationary or moving products of fixed height. Roll-on rolls the label onto products moving past the applicator. A swing-type applicator and a service unit with filter regulator, manometer and shut-off valve are part of the system.
APX V 200, 300 and 400 differ in cylinder stroke — up to 170, 270 or 370 mm usable for tamp and blow-on, 200, 300 or 400 mm for roll-on — and each comes in right- and left-hand versions. Label width follows the ILX V it is paired with: 20–60 mm on the 5X, 20–90 mm on the 8X and 20–112 mm on the 10X.
